WELCOME TO MY DELICIOUS WORLD!

TV Cook, Mr Gay World 2018, Author, LGBTIQ+ Activist and Dog Lover!

Hey friends, my name if Jordan Bruno and I am a 28-year-old home-cook from Australia trying to find my place in the culinary world. Growing up my home was always filled with aromas of warm home cooked meals – and I mean the kind of smells that feel like a big warm hug! I would adore watching my Grandma and Mama cook from a young age and quickly realised that my passion in life was food!

From there I started my fake apprenticeship as a junior chef under my Maltese Mama. Anyone that has a European Mother figure knows they like everything done their way and there isn’t much room for creativity.

Fast forward 10 years and I was competing on Australia’s number one rating show, My Kitchen Rules, showcasing my creativity and passion for food. From there I have been able to work with industry-leading chefs from all across the world, host pop up restaurants in multiple countries, perform over 200 cooking demonstration at food festivals and even launch my own food business (see Outback Eats below). The best part is that I have done most of the above with my beautiful Mama who I started this journey with.

Beauty comes within, it’s about loving yourself and surrounding yourself with the best people.

Cooking Demonstrations

I have presented countless cooking classes all over Australia and the world – educating, inspiring and entertaining large audience groups with food.

It is my goal to engage with the audience in a fun easy-going Australian style, leaving them enthused and better informed on cooking techniques and stimulated about the outstanding flavours of Australia’s unique ingredients.

Bush Food Talks

Over the last four years, I have been lucky enough to work with the biggest supplier of Native Australian Bush Foods and live with Indigenous Communities who thrive off the Australian land.

In my Bush Food Talk, I will educate the audience on how to source, grow and cook with 10 Native Australian Plants, while offering delicious samples as we go.

Private Dinners

Hosting a private dining experience in the comfort of your own home is a fun and relaxed way to enjoy food with friends and family. From three-course dinners to canape catering, I have a wide range of seasonal menus available to suit every occasion.

All you’ll need to do is relax, enjoy delicious food and socialize while my staff and I do all the cooking (and cleaning). You won’t have to lift a finger.

Outback Eats Food Truck

Are you ready to try some Australian grub? The Outback Eats Food Truck and Pop Up Restaurant is dedicated to serving up premium burgers and meals made with Native Australian plants and meats.

When I’m Not Cooking, I’m Serving up LGBTQI+ Activism

In 2016 I started advocating for queer rights across TV and radio. I released a queer cookbook with all proceeds going to queer charities, worked as a campaign manager for marriage equality Australia and even won the title of Mr Gay World in 2018 due to my extensive LGBTIQ+ advocacy work. Educating homophobes is a legitimate skill listed on my resume.

I have also worked with Heart Kids Australia, Visibility Australia, Minus 18, Headspace, Assisting Your Life To Achieve and the xoxo foundation.

The Gay Chef Book

A Book Close to My Heart

The Gay Chef E-book showcases all the recipes I have learnt from my beautiful Mama and highlights my struggles of coming to terms with my sexuality. The book also aims to raise awareness for mental health issues amongst the LGBTIQ people through personal stories, helpful advice, and support networks you can reach out to.
